Location: Torres del Paine National Park, Chile
Date Taken: December 23, 2004
Comments: Torres del Paine National Park is near the southern tip of Chile, literally almost “at the end of the earth.” The mountain (the Paine Massif) is split by two valleys and sculpted by ice and weather into fantastic shapes. Each hike we made in the park revealed a series of new, wonderful views. This view of the Towers was at the end of a 3 1/2 hour vigorous but well-traveled hike from our lodge.
