Date Taken: October 15, 2003
Comments: In the western states, the very definition of Autumn seems to be intrinsically tied to the golden colors of the Aspen tree. On a mid-October afternoon this magnificent Aspen is displaying its colors to the afternoon sun well after most of its neighbors in this high meadow have lost their leaves. As always, the shy aspen is reluctant to hold still long enough to have its picture taken.
